I've been trying to figure out whether CK is cheating with his recurring character Cole. I've come to the conclusion that he is, sort of, but I don't mind. Cole has been in a number of six-word stories lately, "accelerating past haunts," trying to lose a certain odor, bathing his mother. They could be read in succession and strung together to create a narrative. Or they could be read as separate events, but with a character who has experienced each scene. Either way, I'm intrigued to see what Cole will be up to next.
